Apr 25 2007 | 11:11am ET

The $39.7 billion Teachers’ Retirement System of the State of Illinois is looking for more active management of its domestic equity investments and plans to do so in part by increasing its exposure to 130/30 strategies.

Under recommendations by the TRS board of trustees, the system plans to allocate 10% of its domestic equity portfolio to a 130/30 large-cap core strategy within the next two years.

Search criteria for a 130/30 manager will be posted on the TRS web site by May 31, according to spokeswoman Eva Goltermann.
