Feb 23 2011 | 6:36am ET

A pair of former analysts at two top hedge funds are to launch a hedge fund of their own.

Howard Shainker and Akiva Katz have founded Bow Street, HFMWeek reports. It is unclear when the firm plans to launch its maiden fund or what strategy it will employ, although Shainker formerly covered financial services and retail and consumer stocks at hedge fund Third Point.

Katz worked at Brahman Capital before founding Bow Street.
