Apr 26 2007 | 10:46am ET

Dresdner Kleinwort has been busy of late beefing up its hedge fund sales teams. The firm has hired Chris Baildon as head of equities distribution for U.S.-based hedge funds. He will report to Mark Small, head of equities in the U.S. and Martin Newson, head of the hedge fund solutions group, which is based in London.

Baildon joins from UBS where he specialized in the coverage of hedge funds as head of European sales trading, based in the U.S. Prior to joining UBS, he worked in the equities divisions of Commerzbank and SG Warburg.

Also, Michael Walsh is joining Dresdner in London as head of hedge fund FX sales, reporting to Ricardo Zulliger, global head of FX and local market sales.

Walsh was previously at ABN Amro for three years in London working in FX hedge fund sales.

David Zanette is also joining from Calyon in London as a director in hedge fund FX sales, reporting to Walsh.
