Derivatives Specialist Joins Artradis Founder's Firm As Risk Chief

Mar 9 2011 | 10:32am ET

The successor firm to Artradis Fund Management has hired its first chief risk officer.

Bert Verdicchio has joined Vulpes Investment Management, the former family office of Artradis co-founder Stephen Diggle that now houses two of Artradis' former funds, Russian Opportunities and Testudo. Diggle and Artradis co-founder Richard Magides pulled the plug on the firm, once Singapore's largest hedge fund, in January after suffering two years of negative returns.

Verdicchio previously worked at Rabobank Australia, as director of debt capital markets, and at Bank of America. He and Diggle have known each other for more than two decades.
