Citigroup’s Kaul Talks Hedge Fund Registration (VIDEO)

As the Securities and Exchange Commission’s hedge fund registration deadline nears, Sandy Kaul, head of business development advisory services at Citigroup Prime Finance, takes a look at how new registration rules will affect the industry. 

The old hedge fund filing requirements used to be a “check the box” sort of thing, she said in an interview on CNBC. With the new filing documents, hedge funds "have to write a brochure in plain English,” describing things such as their strategy and assets under management.
