Insurance Advisory SKCG Adds Alternative Investments Specialist

Mar 31 2011 | 2:23am ET

Insurance advisory SKCG Group has hired Wayne Siebner to boost its alternative investments practice.

Siebner will focus on directors and officers and errors and omissions insurance, targeting hedge funds and private equity firms. Both types of insurance protect investors from regulator investigations and investor lawsuits.

His title will be senior vice president and manager of executive and professional liability.

“Asset managers tell us that their institutional investors want stronger, more comprehensive risk management controls in place and that having comprehensive E&O/D&O coverage is an essential part of those controls,” Richard Canter, chief operating officer, said. “The addition of Wayne’s experience and contacts will help us enhance this key segment of our business at a time where demand for this risk management tool is on the rise.”
