UBS has launched two new currency share classes of its exchange-traded fund tracking a Hedge Fund Research index.
Swiss franc- and British pound-denominated share classes of the UBS ETFs plc-HFRX Global Hedge Fund Index SF began trading on Deutsche Börse's XTF segment last week, the exchange said. The fund seeks to track the HFRX Global Hedge Fund Index.
UBS launched the main share class of the fund in December. The new share classes have expense ratios of 1.5%.
At the time the first fund was launched, HFR's Kenneth Heinz said it "represents the first in a new generation of hedge fund index ETFs, offering investors the ability to gain passive exposure to hedge fund performance in a transparent, liquid and UCITS III-compliant manner."
