Citadel Hires BofA, Credit Suisse Traders For Fixed-Income Team

Apr 13 2011 | 1:11pm ET

Citadel Investment Group has added a pair of investment-banking veterans to its ranks of hedge fund managers.

Steven Goldberg and Edwin Lin will join the firm as members of its global fixed-income team next month. Goldberg was most recently a fixed-income portfolio manager on the interest rate options desk at Bank of America-Merrill Lynch, while Lin handled dollar interest rate trading at Credit Suisse Group.

Goldberg will trade rates and foreign exchange derivatives at Citadel, while Lin will handle global short-term interest rate and basis swap trading. Lin will also launch a new Canadian rates trading strategy at the firm.

"Edwin and Steve are proven risk-takers with valuable domain expertise who broaden the global rates capability set and add a new dimension to our expanding business," new boss Derek Kaufman, head of global fixed-income at Citadel Asset Management, said.
