Citigroup has reassigned its head of quantitative equity hedge fund strategies.
Shakil Ahmed, co-head of electronic trading at the bank, has been named head of electronic market making, the firm said in an internal memo. Ahmed will be “concluding his role” at hedge fund division Citi Capital Advisors, where he is head of quantitative strategies for equity markets.
In the same memo, Citi said that Mike Pringle would become head of global equities trading, a new position.
