Cantor Fitzgerald has hired the co-founders of securities lending firm Hedge Source to add the service to its own menu of offerings.

Allen Wolkow and Janah Angelou will lead Cantor Prime Services Group's securities lending effort, the firm said. Before setting up Hedge Source, both worked at Ramius Capital Group, where Wolkow set up the securities lending department.

"Allen and Janah have a proven track record and have both built and managed securities lending businesses during their respective careers that were widely recognized within the industry for outstanding execution and exceptional client service," Noel Kimmel, Cantor's head of prime services. "Their experience and breadth of relationships in this marketplace, combined with Cantor’s financial strength, are tremendous assets as we continue to expand the capabilities we offer Prime Services’ clients."
