Meridian Adds Spectrum's Biz. Dev. Chief

May 2 2011 | 11:59am ET

Hedge fund administrator Meridian Global Fund Services has bolstered its senior management team at the expense of rival Spectrum Global Fund Administration.

Annabel Marisca jumped from Spectrum to Meridian as senior vice president of business development. She had spent the past six years at Spectrum, where she was head of business development.

"We hired Annabel because of the robust revival in the hedge fund industry," Meridian CEO Tom Davis said. "Annabel's appointment was made with a  view towards meeting the growing demands of the marketplace in light of that revival."

Marisca will be based in New York and will oversee global sales and new business initiatives, Meridian said.

Before joining Spectrum, Marisca worked at Goldman Sachs' prime brokerage group and New York hedge fund New Frontier Capital.
