2011 Take ‘Em to School Poker Tournament
July 25, 2011 | New York

REACH, a non-profit that works with NYC high schools, will hold its second charity poker tournament on July 25. Each year REACH provides academic support to thousands of NYC students taking Advanced Placement courses, granting incentive payments to those who pass the exams. In four years, REACH has awarded more than $2.6 million to students at non-selective high schools who demonstrate proficiency in college-level work. REACH has also invested more than $1 million in NYC high schools through classroom grants.  REACH received startup funding and continuing financial support from Bill Ackman’s Pershing Square Foundation.
