Diamond Dragon Advisors, an independent general partner advisory and fund placement firm headquartered in Asia, has appointed Kyung W. Kim as CIO, fund origination and GP advisory services.
Kim comes to Diamond Dragon from Tokyo-based Shinsei Bank where she played a key role in establishing the bank's alternative investment program which invested in private equity and real estate funds and hedge funds for the bank's balance sheet. Prior to Shinsei, Kim worked as an investment banker for Warburg Dillon Read and Morgan Stanley. She began her career as a paralegal for Davis Polk & Wardwell in their Tokyo and Hong Kong offices.
As a senior managing director at Diamond Dragon, Kim will sit on the executive and management committees and work from the Hong Kong Office.
Diamond Dragon Advisors has offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Sydney.
