Pennsylvania-based AlphaOne Capital Partners has hired Stewart Stecker as equity research analyst.
Stecker began his career at Lehman Brothers where he’d worked with current AlphaOne portfolio manager Dan Niles. Most recently, Stecker was a research analyst in the Surveyor Capital division of New York-based Citadel. Prior to that, he’d served as a technology sector analyst at both Vicis Capital and Neuberger Berman.
Paul J. Hondros, president and CEO of AlphaOne, said, “Stewart has a very strong investment pedigree and in coming to AlphaOne will be reunited with portfolio manager Dan Niles, with whom he worked at Lehman Brothers. Research is the core engine for alpha generation across each of our investment strategies. Stewart is a talented, experienced and proven analyst who we know will integrate easily into our research-driven culture. We have been deliberate in seeking out investment professionals like Stewart who share our philosophy and commitment to deep fundamental research.”
AlphaOne was founded in late 2008 and specializes in alternative equity and capacity-constrained equity solutions. It manages over $350 million for institutional and individual investors.
