Bertoli, Head Of Event-Driven At Och-Ziff, Leaves Hedge Fund

Jun 17 2011 | 3:58am ET

The head of Och-Ziff Capital Management's event-driven team has left the firm, along with one of his team members.

Massimo Bertoli is out at the New York-based firm, Reuters reports. Ricardo Lavilla, also of the event-driven team, has left as well.

Bertoli headed Och-Ziff's event-driven investments from London. His departure does not signal the $30 billion firm's exit from that strategy, one source told Reuters.

Bertoli and Lavilla's plans are unclear.
