Paloma CEO, Congresswoman Marry

Jun 20 2011 | 1:58am ET

Paloma Partners founder Donald Sussman has married his congresswoman fiancée.

Sussman and Rep. Chellie Pingree (D-Maine) tied the knot on Saturday morning in a small ceremony at their home in North Haven, which sits in Pingree's district. The two then announced their marriage at a birthday party for Sussman later that day.

Sussman and Pingree have been engaged since 2008. It is the second marriage for both.

The two announced their engagement last year, after Pingree faced Republican attacks for her use of Sussman's private jets. Despite the controversy, Pingree won reelection fairly easily.

Sussman divides his time between North Haven and an estate in Greenwich, Conn., where his $1.7 billion hedge fund is based.
