Axa Framlington has hired a hedge fund veteran to help run its healthcare funds.

Linda Thomson will work on the firm’s Health and Biotech funds, headed by Gemma Game, who joined the Axa in April. Thomson comes to the firm from hedge fund Clear River Capital.

“Linda’s diversified skill set—encompassing bottom-up, fundamental stock research and analysis of the global pharmaceuticals and biotechnology sectors and portfolio construction—makes her a natural fit to join us and we look forward to having her on board,” Mark Beveridge, global head of Axa Framlington, said.
