New York-based investment bank Morgan Joseph & Co. has named Scott Berman and Peter Olaynack co-heads of its financial sponsors group, which focuses on hedge funds, private equity firms and family offices.

The pair—each of whom will retain their current responsibilities at the bank, Berman as head of executive sales and Olyanack in client management and business development—are charged with expanding the firm’s financial sponsorship business.

“The private equity market has grown at a record pace, and will continue to expand, but in this setting our private equity clients are now in more need than ever of creative proprietary ideas,” Berman said.
