Mark Milne, who formerly ran his own third-party marketing firm, Alternative Investment Consulting, has joined Aquila Capital Concepts as the Swiss country manager for the Hamburg, Germany-based alternative investment manager.
“One of my managers was Aquila, with whom I began a relationship last year, and they became serious about expanding their client base outside of Germany, hence my coming on board,“ explained Milne.
Dieter Rentsch, former head of asset allocation and research at Munich Ergo Asset Management, and Roman Rosslenbroich, a former vice president with Salomon Brothers in Frankfurt and the Branca Family Office, founded Aquila Capital in 2001.
Aquila Capital is unrelated to the energy company Aquila, currently engaged in a proxy battle with activist hedge fund Pirate Capital.
