Hedge Fund Spokesman Switches P.R. Firms

Jul 26 2011 | 12:32pm ET

Public relations firm Brunswick Group has hired veteran hedge fund spokesman Tripp Kyle to boost its own alternative investments practice.

Kyle was named a partner at Brunswick's New York office. He'll focus on financial services clients, including hedge funds and private equity firms, as well as on shareholder activism, corporate governance and special situations.

Kyle helped build Finsbury Group's alternative investments practice, Brunswick said. He worked at Credit Suisse First Boston and Citigroup Smith Barney before joining that company.

"Tripp will be a tremendous asset to our financial institutions practice, in New York and across our global network,” said Steve Lipin, senior partner of Brunswick U.S. “Financial services companies require thoughtful and sophisticated strategic communications support, and Tripp will bring valuable experience and expertise to both existing and future clients."
