MKP Capital Management bucked its peers in July, managing a return while most hedge funds staggered to another losing month.
MKP's Opportunity fund added 1.8% last month, Dow Jones Newswires reports. Global macro funds did outperform other hedge fund strategies in July, but MKP's outperformed even other global macro funds.
And that's certainly the case for the year-to-date, with the $1.4 billion fund up 4.62% through July. The average global macro fund is actually down 2011.
