BarCap Snags BofA Prime Brokerage MD Bailey

Barclays Capital has poached a Bank of America Merrill Lynch prime brokerage executive as it continues to boost its prime brokerage.

Mark Bailey was named global head of treasury in equity financing, a new position at Barclays, Financial News reports. He will focus on the firm’s economic funding models, risk-weighted assets and balance sheets, reporting to global head of equity financing Ashley Wilson and global head of prime services liquidity management John Feraca.

Bailey will be based in New York.

At BofA, Bailey was a managing director in the prime brokerage division.
