Ex-BofA Prop. Trader Out At BTG Pactual Hedge Fund

A BTG Pactual hedge fund trader has quit after just three months at the Brazilian investment bank.

Ben Rick, a former Bank of America Merrill Lynch proprietary trader, resigned from BTG at the end of last month. He plans to pursue opportunities outside of financial services, Financial News reports.

Rick joined BTG's global macro hedge fund team in May as one of about 45 traders working on the fund.

He left BofA at the end of last year after it shuttered his credit trading operation to come into compliance with new U.S. regulations.
