Aquila UCITS CTA Fund Up Almost 10% In August

Risk management expert Harry Kat is earning his stripes as a money manager.

Kat, who runs Aquila Capital’s five-month-old UCITS III-compliant managed futures fund, turned in a 9.88% return in August, HFMWeek reports. The strong return during the hedge fund industry’s worst month in almost three years, wiped out the AC Spectrum Fund’s small year-to-date loss through July and has the fund up 9.44% since inception.

The fund, which launched with €75 million in May, offers daily liquidity.
