AXA Picks EIM Vet To Lead Funds Of Funds

Insurance giant AXA has a new funds of hedge funds chief.

Francisco Arcilla was named global head of funds of hedge funds by AXA Investment Managers. He joins AXA IM from fund of funds EIM, where he was co-head of investments.

"Francisco’s extensive experience and knowledge of hedge fund strategies as well as his commercial acumen and technical skills will be invaluable to further developing the AXA FoHF business," AXA IM CEO Dominique Carrel-Billiard said. "He is a proven portfolio manager and I am confident that his leadership skills combined with his product and business vision will enable the acceleration of AXA FoHF’s growth trajectory."

Arcilla began his new job yesterday in London. He is charged with quickening the development of AXA's fund of funds platform, and will serve on AXA IM's executive committee.

AXA IM has some €4 billion in fund of funds assets under management.
