Cheyne's Hyman To Russian Bank

Oct 11 2011 | 11:47am ET

Cheyne Capital senior adviser John Hyman has joined Russian investment bank Renaissance Capital.

Hyman will serve as co-head of investment banking and financing, based in Moscow. He's spent the past 11 months at Cheyne.

Hyman served as co-head of Morgan Stanley global capital markets business until the beginning of last year. Four months later, he was reportedly to join Nomura Holdings as co-head of global finance, an appointment reportedly thwarted by its failure to win the approval of the U.K. Financial Services Authority. The FSA did approve Hyman's work with London-based Cheyne.

Hyman's exit from Cheyne was reported to be an amicable one.
