Blackstone Names Banking Vet Euro. Healthcare Advisory Chief

The Blackstone Group has hired a veteran banker to the pharmaceutical and medical diagnostics industries to head its European healthcare advisory.

Denis Fabre was named a senior managing director at Blackstone Advisory Partners. The post, overseeing it European healthcare business from London, is a new one.

Fabre most recently worked at UBS, heading its European healthcare advisory. He previously worked at Bankers Trust, Lehman Brothers, Bear Stearns and Deutsche Bank.

"Blackstone’s advisory business has a first-rate reputation providing senior level independent advice to businesses and governments facing particularly difficult issues," Fabre said. "The firm has a unique position in the industry and has been expanding its business, particularly in Asia and Europe, and I am pleased to be part of this impressive group."
