Corzine Resigns From MF Global

Jon Corzine has resigned from all his posts at MF Global Holdings.

The resignation was announced in a statement from the company’s board of directors on Friday. It said Corzine will not seek severance payments.

Edward L. Goldberg, the lead director of the board, and Bradley I. Abelow, the firm’s president and COO, will continue in their current positions.

MF Global Holdings, the former futures brokerage which spun off from the Man Group two years ago, had its plan to liquidate approved on Wednesday by a federal bankruptcy court judge who appointed a trustee.
