SS&C Hires Middle-Office Head, Salesman

Nov 9 2011 | 11:01am ET

Hedge fund administrator SS&C Technologies has added three professionals to its sales and middle-office efforts.

The firm has named a Goldman Sachs veteran to lead its middle-office operations. Jason McCarthy has led his own middle-office company, JMC Hedge Fund Services, for the past two years. A number of his clients have followed him to SS&C, HFMWeek reports.

Prior to founding JMC, McCarthy worked at Goldman's prime brokerage and at UBS, Barclays and the Bank of Tokyo.

Also new to SS&C are Colm O'Brien and Halley Carlson. The former was named a senior sales executive and the latter a sales executive. O'Brien joins from Investec, while Carlson joins the sales team from SS&C's financial markets group.
