Commonfund Raises $25M For Real Estate Hedge Fund

Institutional money manager Commonfund has launched a new real-estate hedge fund.

The Wilton, Conn.-based firm has raised $25.5 million from private investors since June 25, a Securities and Exchange Commission filing shows. The same filing indicates that Commonfund has been running the strategy for more than a year and that it is not open to outside investors.

Commonfund has a total of $27 billion in assets under management.
