Dec 13 2011 | 2:10am ET

Lombard Odier Investment Managers has named a former ING and Pearl Group executive its first chief investment officer.

Jan Straatman will oversee Lombard Odier's three existing CIOs, who each oversee one part of the firm's business. Straatman will help "generate significant scale while concentrating on the needs of sophisticated private and third-party clients as well as the most demanding institutional investors," managing partner Hubert Keller said.

Straatman was most recently at ING, reorganizing the firm. Prior to that, he was CEO and CIO at Pearl's Axial Investment Management and CIO at ABP Investments.
