State Street has a new head of alternative investments solutions on the Channel Island of Guernsey.
Paul McLaughlin was named head of operations for the group. He joins from the Bank of New York-Mellon, where he was most recently head of alternative investment servicing for funds of funds and private equity funds in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Based in Dublin, he also spent time at BNY Mellon’s North American and Bermuda offices.
At State Street, McLaughlin is charged with building the firm’s alternative investment servicing business in the EMEA region.
“Paul has vast experience in the alternative investment market globally and this knowledge will play a pivotal role in further ensuring that State Street in Guernsey continues to contribute to business growth across Europe,” State Street’s Phil McGowan said. “This senior appointment also cements State Street’s commitment to the Channel Islands as the hub of our private equity and real estate investment servicing business in EMEA.”
