UBS Adds Hedge Fund Founder, Ex-Citadel Banker

Dec 22 2011 | 2:20am ET

UBS has hired the former head of equities at collapsed brokerage MF Global Holdings and the former head of loan trading at Citadel Securities. The former, Peter Forlenza, was named head of equities in the Americas, and the latter, Mike Weir, as a loan trader.

Forlenza was head of equities at MF Global. Before joining that firm, he founded hedge fund Outpost Investment Group.

Weir is the former head of the loan trading desk at Citadel Securities, Citadel Investment Group’s now much-reduced investment banking unit. He formerly worked at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs.
