Henderson Global Investors has appointed Jill Hodges, previously director of marketing at MT Thaler Investment Management, as hedge fund sales manager.

At MT Thaler, Hodges was responsible for sales, marketing and investor relations for European clients. She has also been an equity analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston in London and a consultant with Ernst and Young Consulting in Europe and the United States.

At Henderson, she will report to director of global hedge fund sales Alastair Barrie

”Henderson has built a credible hedge fund business exploiting the in-house talent we have developed across multiple asset classes,” said Kate O'Neill, director of pan-European distribution and hedge funds. “Jill's experience in financial markets and hedge funds combined with her strong network of contacts in Europe will support us in our efforts to continue to grow the business.”

Henderson currently manages more than US $3 billion in its hedge fund business, which is spread across 13 funds including long/short directional equity funds, market-neutral funds with a regional focus, equity long/short style rotational funds, and fixed-income multi-strategy and single strategy funds.
