Highland Capital Management has added an Investcorp International executive to its business development team.
Brian Rice was named a managing director at Dallas-based Highland's New York office. He'll focus on business development in the U.S. and Europe and on the firm's strategic relationships with institutional investors, consultants and wealth management platforms.
Rice dealt with business development in the same regions for Investcorp. He formerly worked at Trust Company of the West, Atlantic Investment and Deutsche Bank, where he started his career and rose to serve as global head of sales for its absolute return and hedge funds practice.
"Brian's blue-chip experience is a tremendous asset to our growing global team and we are confident that he will create value for both Highland and our investors," new boss Clay Shumway, head of business development, said.
