Cohen Grabs Seat On L.A. Museum Board In Wake Of Dodgers Bid

If Steven Cohen's primary interest in Los Angeles at the moment is its baseball team, he hasn't forgotten his best-known pastime.

The SAC Capital Advisors founder has joined the board of directors at L.A.'s Museum of Contemporary Art. Cohen, one of the world's most important collectors of modern and contemporary art, had previously helped finance exhibits at MOCA.

Closer to home, Cohen is a member of the painting and sculpture committee at New York's Museum of Modern Art. His Greenwich, Conn., mansion displays the fruit of his collecting: highlights of a $1 billion art cache.

Cohen is currently bidding on the Los Angeles Dodgers, put up for sale last year.
