Visium Asset Management's 18-month-old hedge fund has hit an asset milestone.

The fund, opened to investors in June 2010, now manages $200 million, Visium said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing. The fund is managed by firm founder Jacob Gottlieb and his team.

Visium has a total of $2.8 billion in assets under management, and last year acquired credit and event-driven hedge fund Catalyst Investment Management.
