Hermes Unveils CTA Platform

Jan 26 2012 | 9:50am ET

Fund of hedge funds Hermes BPK Partners has launched a managed accounts platform for commodity trading advisors.

The new Alpha Vault Managed Futures program will focus on global, mid-sized CTAs with traditional characteristics. It debuted with some $275 million in initial assets.

"While CTAs can be volatile, they have been very strong diversifying properties with historically high negative correlation to rapidly declining equity markets," CEO Matteo Dante Perruccio said.

Hermes will use a three-year performance fee structure and will reimburse fees if the program does not earn clients money.
