Two former top Asia traders at Credit Suisse are making the leap to the hedge fund industry.
Carlo Ramirez and Olivier Garcia plan to launch an Asia-focused fund in the second quarter, Bloomberg News reports. Ramirez will serve as chief investment officer of RG Investment Capital and Garcia as portfolio manager.
Ramirez formerly led Credit Suisse's Asian equity and equity derivatives trading, while Garcia was head of Asia-Pacific exotic trading.
London-based RG, which was registered in October, will invest in stocks and derivatives linked to Asian companies, according to Bloomberg.
