Commodity Hedge Fund Vet Kerson Joins Man

The Man Group has named a head of commodities of its new Systematic Strategies unit.

Scott Kerson joined the hedge fund giant in London in November, Bloomberg News reports. He formerly worked at hedge funds Ospraie Management and Amaranth Advisors, and most recently ran his own quantitative commodity consultancy, Alpha Dog Commodities.

Kerson reports to Sandy Rattray, the former Goldman Sachs managing director who heads Man Systematic Strategies.
