State Street has nabbed a Morgan Stanley salesman to lead its alternative investment servicing sales in Asia.
Dan McNicholas will oversee sales of State Street's hedge fund, real-estate and private equity servicing businesses. Based in Hong Kong, he is charged with helping to expand the firm's servicing footprint in the region.
State Street launched its hedge fund servicing business in Asia last year.
"The market for alternative investment servicing solutions continues to accelerate and it’s crucial to our long-term growth in Asia-Pacific," head of alternative investment services in Asia-Pacific Carol Hall said.
McNicholas was most recently head of financing sales for global markets financing and futures in Asia at Morgan Stanely. His resume also boasts stints at Deutsche Bank and Lehman Brothers.
