Campion Hires Martin Currie's Graham

Hedge fund research and due diligence specialist Campion Capital has added a Martin Currie Investment Management salesman as it seeks to expand into the retail market.

Magnus Graham, who started at Campion on Monday in London, was named a director and partner at the firm. He is charged with building Campion's distribution platform to include offshore funds amidst "increasing overlap" between wealth and discretionary managers, he told Investment Adviser.

The marketplace is moving forward more globally," he said. "There are a lot of funds out there, well-recognized names in Asia for example, which we are providing access to—a range of products not listed in the U.K."

Graham will be based in the British capital, but his new job will include extensive travel in both the U.K. and Europe.

At Martin Currie, Graham was a regional sales manager. He left the firm in November.
