Options IT Adds HSBC Prime's Runcie

Mar 20 2012 | 12:28pm ET

Hedge fund technology provider Options IT has hired a former HSBC prime brokerage salesman.

Callum Runcie will serve a buy-side sales director for North America. He will focus on Options IT's PIPE Private Financial Cloud services.

"Callum's depth of experience in the alternative investment space makes him an ideal appointment as Director of North American buy-side sales," CEO Nigel Kneafsey said. "As the hedge fund sector is once again poised for rapid growth, Callum's strength of relationships and his keen understanding of the business and technology needs of hedge fund managers will help ensure that Options IT continues to be the premier private cloud services provider to hedge fund managers."

Runcie was a sales director at HSBC Securities Services' alternatives business. He also formerly worked at Sophis and Sungard.
