OVS Capital, a European equity-focused event driven investment manager, is expanding its investment team with two new appointments; Manuel Blanco and Zac Lewis.
Blanco, who joins OVS as an analyst, comes from the multi-billion event driven fund Trafalgar Asset Managers where he worked as a senior equity analyst. Prior to that, Blanco worked in Citigroup’s UK investment banking team in the financial sponsors group.
Lewis, who joins as a trader, had previously worked for James Caird Asset Management in a similar role. Prior to that, he was part of Citigroup’s equity derivatives team.
The new hires bring the OVS investment team to six, with a four-person support team.
OVS CIO Sam Morland, who founded the firm in 2010 after spending 10 years with the Dallas-based hedge fund HBK, said in a statement, “I am exceptionally pleased to have Manuel and Zac join the team. As the business continues to grow we remain on the lookout for further industry talent.”
