AIMA Now In New York

The Alternative Investment Management Association, the hedge fund industry’s leading lobbying organization in Europe, has expanded to the United States.

AIMA has opened its first office in the U.S. in New York. The new base will be helmed by Katherine Wilberton, formerly of Schroders. She’ll handle event organization and the set up of local working groups to deal with regulatory and policy matters.

The new office is at Madison Avenue and 56th Street. While its AIMA’s first U.S. office, the group already has a presence in both Canada and the Cayman Islands, in addition to its London headquarters and Asia-Pacific offices in Australia, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore.
