Hedge fund administrator Conifer Securities has hired David Sandrew as director of sales in the firm’s New York office. In the newly-created position, Sandrew is responsible for sales and business development for the firm and reports to Jack McDonald, executive vice president of sales.

Prior to joining San Francisco-based Conifer, Sandrew was a director of exchange-traded funds distribution at Boston-based State Street Global Advisors. Prior to his years at State Street, he was a director of Barclays Bank in Boston.

"Dave’s experience and diverse industry contacts will be valuable as the New York office and Conifer continue to grow,” said Jerry Markowitz, partner.
