Paulson, Einhorn To Speak At New York Conference

May 16 2012 | 11:49am ET

John Paulson's new semi-sunshine policy will take him today to one of the most prominent investment conferences in the world.

The Paulson & Co. founder will speak at the Ira Sohn Investment Research Conference. It will be his first address to the 17-year-old New York confab, which regularly includes other hedge fund managers, such as Greenlight Capital's David Einhorn. Einhorn, who predicted Lehman Brothers' collapse at the 2008 Sohn Conference, will appear again this year, as will Pershing Square Capital Management's William Ackman, Ospraie Management's Dwight Anderson and Lone Pine Capital's Stephen Mandel.

Paulson has been reticent about public statements and appearances during his career. But he has pledged to open up a bit in the wake of catastrophic losses last year, including an announcement last month that he would begin providing clients a monthly commentary.

The Sohn Conference will be held at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall.
