Carne Publishes UCITS IV Guide

May 21 2012 | 9:13am ET

Governance and support services provider Carne Group has published the latest edition of its UCITS Guide For Alternative Managers.

Carne says the new booklet, which it describes as an “ideal primer” for fund managers, has been updated to take into consideration changes made to the European funds regime by the UCITS IV directive.

In addition to considering the requirements of the directive, the guide looks at fund location, distribution opportunities, risk management and the role of service providers, among other topics.

Said John Donohoe, CEO of Carne Group, in a statement: "We've seen growing interest in UCITS on the part of alternative fund managers since we published our first UCITS guide. With this publication, we've set out to explain what fund managers need to be thinking about when they go down the UCITS IV route, helping them to avoid many of the common pitfalls that could delay a fund launch."
