Hedge-Like Mutual Fund Broker Adds Distribution Director

Hedge fund-like mutual fund firm Thesis Fund Management has a new head of distribution.

Jay Rosoff has joined broker-dealer Point Capital Markets as a managing director. He'll focus on distribution of Thesis' Flexible Fund, a long/short multi-asset mutual fund helmed by former hedge fund manager Stephen Roseman.

Rosoff was most recently national sales manager at Allianz Global Investors, a member of its independent, bank and regional division. He's also formerly worked at Eaton Vance.

"Financial advisors are beginning to understand the importance of allocating assets to an alternative strategy," Rosoff said. "The Flexible Fund offers investors and financial advisors access to the same type of sophisticated investment strategies that hedge funds use, in a regulated, no load mutual fund format without the lock-up, lack of transparency and fee structures commonly associated with traditional hedge fund investing. We are looking forward to introducing this valuable product to more and more advisors and their clients."
