A top Morgan Stanley prime brokerage salesman is set to join rival Citigroup to lead its effort in China.
Carl Davey was named head of prime brokerage sales for Greater China, Reuters reports. At Morgan Stanley, he was head of prime brokerage sales in Singapore; in that role, he will be replaced by Stella Jaeger, an executive director on his team.
Davey is one of just four new hires by Citi's prime brokerage in Asia, according to its head, David Murphy. The others include David Stanbridge, formerly of Kilometre Capital.
Davey spent 16 years at Morgan Stanley.
